Candi Donut Churros | £2.50

Dear friend, I’m sure by now you’d know that my dad is the ORIGINAL East London Brazilian Donut man. If you didn’t know that then I really don’t know where you’ve been hiding loool. I’ll often meet someone and briefly mention my dad – to which they’ll respond, “OOH that’s your dad?!”. For over 20 years, he’s been associated with events such as The Lord Mayor’s Festival and Under the Stars, as well as [weekly] being posted at East London markets i.e. Roman road & Brick Lane. They are essentially churros rolled in cinnamon sugar, but with a hole in the middle that can be filled with a filling of your choice. If you know, you know ;).

Café Rouge | £9.95-£12.25

Dear friend, Last week I was kindly invited to sample Café Rouge’s new range of croque sandwiches. Silly me didn’t read the email properly and literally thought I was just going to try the standard ham and cheese toastie. WRONG!!! I was so pleasantly surprised with their THREE new combinations. Just to save you some time, the salmon was my favourite!! (All served with fries or salad)

Thai Green Curry Quinoa

Dear friend, I must say, this recipe is a bit of a catch with my vegan friends – shout out Holly and Liv (the only vegans I know). I came up with it a few years back when I was on The Daniel Fast. I was surprised at how good it was and so have been eating it ever since. I tend to add spinach to it once the onions have cooked, but tbh, what student can afford spinach? I hope you enjoy this recipe, and the video of my friend trying to make it 😀

Coconut and Peanut Porridge
Quick & Easy

Coconut and Peanut Porridge

Dear friend, Don’t hate me looool – I know porridge is the easiest thing in the world to make. I just wanted to show you 2 things I added to mine to take it from a 2/10 breakfast to a solid 10. Bare in mind I don’t really like coconut or peanut butter, I was so surprised at how addicted to this I got. At one point, I was eating porridge twice a day and was buying a new pot of this butter every fortnight! We all like our porridge consistency different (some don’t like it at all LOL) but I’ll note the oat : milk ratio I use just so you can see how I make mine. P.s. I never eat fruit with my porridge, this was purely for show loool.
