Dear friend, I’m sure by now you’d know that my dad is the ORIGINAL East London Brazilian Donut man. If you didn’t know that then I really don’t know where you’ve been hiding loool. I’ll often meet someone and briefly mention my dad – to which they’ll respond, “OOH that’s your dad?!”. For over 20 years, he’s been associated with events such as The Lord Mayor’s Festival and Under the Stars, as well as [weekly] being posted at East London markets i.e. Roman road & Brick Lane. They are essentially churros rolled in cinnamon sugar, but with a hole in the middle that can be filled with a filling of your choice. If you know, you know ;).

Dear friend, Last week I was kindly invited to sample Café Rouge’s new range of croque sandwiches. Silly me didn’t read the email properly and literally thought I was just going to try the standard ham and cheese toastie. WRONG!!! I was so pleasantly surprised with their THREE new combinations. Just to save you some time, the salmon was my favourite!! (All served with fries or salad)

Dear friend, You know when you travel from one Zone 6 to another, you’ve found something serious (I’m talking Essex to South London, £12 something on your Oyster card type serious). Listen…best jerk pork I’ve had in this world. I was so gassed by their version of the dish that I tried to embark on some kind of jerk pork adventure. The next day, I of course ordered jerk pork from my local Caribbean restaurant. Safe to say I won’t be ordering it from anywhere other than Yah-So again. Here’s another super quick review for my friends that don’t like to read. Star rating: ★★★★ (4)

Dear friend, The first time I went to this restaurant I had no idea as to what to order; and so ended up ordering the most basic things on the menu- nothing to write home about. Fortunately, the other week, a friend asked if I wanted to go and I thought I’d give it another shot, taking time to order this time round. BEST. CHOICE. EVER. Shout out to Liv for suggesting we go here. Star rating: ★★★★ (4)

Dear friend, My cousin and I had the BEST time here last Sunday. This was actually my 2nd visit to the japanese restaurant, but this time round we had the Han Setto Weekend Brunch Menu- too fabulous. For £39 you get; a bellini on arrival, 10 UNLIMITED starters, a main and a dessert platter. But if you want to spice things up (which we of course did) for £55 you get all that PLUS UNLIMITED WINE (red or white). Did somebody say “the most perfect date ever”? Here’s what we ate… Star rating: ★★★★ (4)
